he
design of the Devonshire Adobe Inn is an interesting blend
of Victorian-style architecture and northern New Mexico adobe.
This style was made popular in the late 1800's with the arrival
of the railroad which brought an influx of Easterners to New
Mexico.
The Inn is furnished with beautiful antiques.
The bed and breakfast overlooks the Rio Grande River, the
Sandia and Manzano Mountains, and the city of Albuquerque.
Most of the seven bedrooms are upstairs; three of them include
balconies with dramatic views. Each guest room is individually
decorated with antiques
and one-of-a-kind furnishings. All guestrooms at the inn have
private baths, telephones with complimentary
local calls, coffee makers, and state-of-the-art LCD TVs with free cable, and woreless high-speed internet connectivity. Most guestroms also have in-room refrigerators. Microwave ovens are available upon request. All
rooms
feature queen-size beds, except for the the Ford Room, which
has two twin beds that can be made up into a king. Rooms are
available with panoramic views of the city lights, the bosque
and the Sandia Mountains.
Guests
enjoy hardy breakfasts
each morning in the inn's spacious atrium or dining room overlooking the patio
garden. Nick is always willing to accommodate special
dietary needs, with advance notice.
After
breakfast, spend your day at the inn relaxing on the comfortable
front porch or in the garden. Enjoy the quaint living room
and parlor, complete with fireplace. You'll also find reading
materials, including information on nearby restaurants and
attractions.
Speaking
of attractions, New Mexico
